Half Day Tokyo Pop Culture Tour

Take in 3 of Tokyo’s centers of youth fashion and pop culture. Start in Shibuya, Tokyo’s main center for youth fashion and culture, whose streets are the birthplace to many of Japan’s fashion and entertainment trends. It is also home to the famous 5-way “scramble crossing”. Next is Harajuku, and the famous Takeshita dori (Cat Street). Whether you are a goth, punk or anything in between, there is a shop in Harajuku that caters for you. Known as Electric Town, Akihabara was originally famous for its many electronics shops. However, in more recent years, Akihabara has gained recognition as the center of Japan’s otaku (diehard fan) culture, and many shops and establishments devoted to anime and manga are now dispersed among the electronic stores in the district. You will end the afternoon doing one of the following three activities: 1) playing with cuddly cats at a cat cafe, 2) visiting an owl cafe for a chance to see these highly photogenic creatures up close, or 3) enjoying a cup of coffee or tea in one of Tokyo’s famous maid cafes where the waitresses dress up and act like maids.

Continue to Studio Crown, a professional cosplay photography studio. «Cosplay», short for «Costume play», means dressing up and posing as an anime character. In this experience you can choose one of dozens of high quality cosplay outfits, complete with wigs, and have a professional Japanese cosplayer help you with dressing up and make up. You will then have a 20-min photoshoot session with a professional photographer; you will have a polaroid picture right away, and the photographer will send you your best 6 shots as data a couple days later.

This is a one-of-a-kind, only-in-Japan experience that will allow you to escape reality!
