KUCHING WETLANDS NATIONAL PARK & IRRAWADDY DOLPHINS
Tour Highlights: Santubong River, Salak Village, Irrawaddy or Snub Fin Dolphins.
This cruise takes you to the mouth of the Santubong river and proceeds to Salak village. After your short visit to the village, cruise along the mangrove where it focuses on the complex ecosystem of the mangrove swamp. Visitors will learn how the various animals and these uniquely adapted trees colonize the shoreline. The Irrawaddy, or snub fin dolphins are often seen.

MANGROVE SWAMP & FIREFLIES CRUISE

Embark on a mangrove sunset cruise. This cruise takes you to the mouth of the Santubong river and along the mangrove forest of Kuching Wetlands National Park. Enjoy the amazing scenery of the mangrove swamp and learn how the various animals, like the proboscis monkeys, and the uniquely adapted mangrove trees develop a complex symbiotic eco-system. The Irrawaddy, or snub fin dolphins are often seen as well. If the weather permits you will get to see a breath-taking sunset over the unique scenery of the mangrove forest. In the dark you will continue your cruise through the mangroves in search for the estuarine crocodile, which are often seen during low tide. Their eyes shine in a bright red colour when hit by the light of torchlights. Another natural phenomenon are the fireflies that congregate in the mangrove trees and let them shine like Christmas trees!
After this exciting experience return to your hotel in the city.

SATANG TURTLE ISLAND
Tour Highlights: Satang Turtle Island, Kuching Wetlands National Park, Irrawaddy Dolphins, Snorkeling
Transfer to Santubong on air-conditioned vehicle. Embark on an interesting day excursion to Satang Turtle Island and the Kuching Wetlands National Park. We will first look for Irrawaddy dolphins, which are often sighted around the Santubong and Buntal coastal areas during fine sea condition. Following this, we will proceed to Satang Turtle Island, which is one of three islands set under protection by the government for turtle conservation. At night, turtles will come to the white sandy beach, which stretches across the entire southern side of this island, to lay eggs. Although it is highly unlikely to see turtles during bright daylight, the soft corals surrounding the island give good opportunities for snorkelling (snorkelling gear provided). In the afternoon, we cruise along the mangrove swamp of Kuching Wetlands National Park.

BORNEO RAINFOREST KAYAKING

A Borneo Rainforest Kayak tour is a ‘must-do’ experience for nature lovers and anyone yearning for a little bit of adventure!
Transfer through undulating terrain dotted by small-scale pepper farms to Bengoh, a delightful Bidayuh village in the mist-covered highlands of Borneo. Here you’ll be given paddling instructions and a safety briefing before proceeding to a small tributary where your parked kayaks await you. This small shaded stream with overhanging trees, steep banks, and a bridge overhead, has just enough room for your kayaks to get through, and meanders a short distance before opening into the vista of Sarawak Kiri river. About halfway down the river, youll alight to explore a delightful Bidayuh village and have a native lunch. After which, continue your kayaking surrounded by lush vegetation, enthralled by the ever changing and stunning scenic views of limestone hills around each bend in the river. Just before the end of your journey, you will have to get past an ‘exciting’ class 1 to 2 (depending on the water volume and flow) rapid!
After all that, return back to your hotel.
